Welcome to the renewed website of the University of Debrecen, “Ihrig Károly” Doctoral School of Management and Business.

The aim of our Doctoral School is to function as a research workshop in the framework of which a multidisciplinary environment is available for examining the most important issues of economics of our time. The broad research portfolio building on the intellectual base of the Faculty of Economics and Business, as well as its legal predecessors, makes the Doctoral School with its highly qualified faculty of supervisors unique also in national comparison.  The publication activity of the faculty and students shows outstanding results even in international comparison.

Students of the Doctoral School have come from many different parts of the world to research topics such as agricultural economics, methodology, rural development, corporate economics, tourism and hospitality, international business economics, management and organisation, network research, marketing and commerce, sports economy, as well as finance and accounting. We currently have students in our doctoral school, apart from Hungary, also from Brazil, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kosovo, Mexico, Mongolia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, and Ukraine. As guest lecturers, we regularly welcome highly recognised Hungarian and foreign representatives of business and management, who further enhance the quality of our programme by offering lectures and seminars, which are always very popular.
